Robinson PCGS MS67

Robinson PCGS MS67

The Robinson has always been a tough coin to find attractive. This example has vibrant amber and caramel tones the visit the rims with bluish hues that glow through-out the surfaces. It’s nice to find a Robinson that has a little bit of that something special. A very nice “High end” coin with a single coin that has graded finer.

1870 Three Cent Nickel PCGS PR66

1870 Three Cent Nickel PCGS PR66

Wonderful reflective surfaces give a stunning backdrop to the sharply struck devices. Just a slight golden- rose hue that illuminates both sides of this amazing coin. Longacre’s Three Cent Nickel was minted to replace and retire the unpopular 3c fractional notes that had been used for postage because of silver hoarding during the Civil War. The Three Cent Nickel ran for 24 years, discontinuation was a result of postage rates dropping to 2c and confusion between this coin and the dime, which was the same size.

1894-O Barber Quarter PCGS MS66 (CAC)

1894-O Barber Quarter PCGS MS66 (CAC)

One of only 8 coins to receive this grade from PCGS (with none higher) and this coin has the technical merits to warrant this grade. A full strike, clean fields, intense luster and exceptional eye-appeal; this coin has it all. Putting together a Barber collection is quite a feat, but here is one coin that deserves to be added.

1896-O Barber Quarter PCGS MS66 – (Friend) (CAC)

1896-O Barber Quarter PCGS MS66 – (Friend) (CAC)

This is a phenomenal Barber Quarter! One of only three coins to receive this grade from PCGS, and with the lone MS67 in strong hands, this is a great addition to a “top notch” collection. A testament to the fine workmanship of the New Orleans mint; gorgeous buttery surfaces paired with stunning sharp detail makes this an obvious choice. Charles Barber made changes to the head of the Morgan Dollar, concealing the hair in a cap with a laurel wreath surrounding for the obverse design and the reverse was similar to Robert Scot’s Seal of the United States to make this design that was used from 1892 to 1916.

1905-O Barber Quarter PCGS MS66 (CAC)

Both sides of this marvelous Barber Quarter scream with originality. Dazzling emerald green, lemon-yellow and pink-rose swirl on both sides and give this coin that added punch to stand out among the other ten coins garnering this grade. Only one coin has been considered finer, this example would definitely give it a run.

The “Wow Factor” is definitely presented on this Barber Quarter! Show stopping color starts near the peripheries with dazzling apricot then magenta and than a wonderful mix of teal and sea-foam green, ending in shimmering golden-honey in the center. The reverse perfectly matches the obverse. This San Francisco issue is one of only twelve coins to receive this grade from PCGS with only nine finer.
