Isabella 1893 PCGS MS65

Isabella 1893 PCGS MS65

This stunning, well preserved example, displays glistening golden-amber surfaces that lighten in the center. Distributed at the Chicago Columbian Exposition but was completely overshadowed by the Columbian Half Dollar that was also being distributed. There was an original order of 40,000 coins, but because of lack of demand, and interest, 15,809 coins were returned to the mint for melting.

1915 Indian Quarter Eagle PCGS PR64 (CAC)

1915 Indian Quarter Eagle PCGS PR64 (CAC)

With a mintage of only 100 pieces, this is without a doubt the toughest matte proof quarter eagle to acquire. To the untrained eye one might wonder why this isn’t a PR 65 or 66, and with good reason. It is kept out of the higher grade by minute lines, barely noticeable to the naked eye. A great coin with a very handsome appearance! Totally original matte proof gold is one of the most highly sought after areas in the hobby today. This piece is sure to please.

1879/8 Shield Nickel PCGS PR65 (CAC)

1879/8 Shield Nickel PCGS PR65 (CAC)

Producing a die, whether for circulation strikes or proofs, was very time consuming and expensive, so in order to save money and speed up production, prior year dies were overstruck with the current year’s date. Through current Pop reports, and personal observation, it appears that the 1879/8 is twice as scarce as the normal date. An attractive piece, showing brilliant surfaces and great field-device contrast. Housed in an “Old Green Holder.”
