1827 Capped Bust Dime NGC MS65

1827 Capped Bust Dime NGC MS65

The Capped Bust Dime are favorites among collectors for their beauty and extensive varieties. The series ran for 28 years and was designed by John Reich, and although this seems obtainable with just 28 coins, the variety collector must locate 122 coins for this series. Fun and a series that will keep you entertained for many years. This is an exquisitely struck representative, with original golden striated toning. Nice luster and refreshingly clean surfaces provide great eye appeal.

1856 Small Date Seated Liberty Dime NGC MS67 (CAC)

Stunning hues of amber swirl through out both sides with a “pop” of indigo blue dappled intermittently near the rims. A whopping 5.7 million coins were made but it was a combination of Large and Small Date varieties, and yes, that seems like there would be plenty to choose from, but at this level, not so. PCGS and NGC have each graded one lone coin at the MS67 level with not a single coin finer. If you like the image of this coin, you should see it in hand. One word, Gorgeous!

1878 Seated Dime PCGS MS66 (CAC)

1878 Seated Dime PCGS MS66 (CAC)

This coin is one of these dates that doesn’t make sense. Sandwiched in between the common 1877 and very common (in gem) 1879, the 1878 didn’t seem to survive in high grade. Why I don’t know; but the population reports confirm this. Unique amber and gold tones cling to the rims, while one line of the same color shoots across.
