An incredible example of the Jefferson gold dollar issued for the St. Louis World’s Fair. Minted to the maximum quantity permitted by law, but because more exposition attendees were interested in Olympic gold as the Olympic games were held in St. Louis, the vast majority of Jefferson Gold dollars were later melted. This premium Gem has frosty yellow-gold luster with brilliant surfaces that are essentially perfect. An exquisite example with stunning visual appeal.
