1948 Franklin Half Dollar PCGS MS65 FBL (CAC)

1948 Franklin Half Dollar PCGS MS65 FBL (CAC)

The Franklin Half Dollar was first issued in 1948 and designed by John Sinnock who also designed the Roosevelt Dime. The design was disapproved by the Federal Fine Arts Commission because of the small eagle to the right of the liberty bell and the crack in the bell. Ignored by the Treasury Department, the design went into production. This example has a nice golden patina that touches both sides.
