A tough coin in any grade, but this is not just any coin. There is nothing subdued or dark in regards to this coin. The colors that rest on the obverse and reverse are vibrant and gorgeous. The toning only enhances the immaculate details of Robert Scot’s design. The obverse strike is very sharp and quarters of this design, with heraldic or large eagle reverse, minted from 1804 through 1807, are typically weakly struck even in higher grades, with that in mind the reverse is very strong for the grade.
