Isabella Quarter 1893 NGC MS65 (CAC)

Isabella Quarter 1893 NGC MS65 (CAC)

A gorgeous example of the only 25c commemorative coin. Distributed at the Chicago Columbian Exposition but was completely overshadowed by the Columbian Half Dollar that was also being distributed. An original order for 40,000 coins were to be minted, but because of lack of demand, and interest, 15,809 coins were returned to the mint for melting. This stunning, well preserved example, displays violet blue and mahogany blanketing both sides but the underlying luster keeps the colors light and lively.
