1855 G$1 PCGS MS61

The Type II Gold Dollar was struck for only three years, changed because of its high relief of the portrait, causing clash marks and soft striking on the center of the date and denomination. This coin offered here, shows unique clash marks on both the obverse and reverse giving this coin character. Along with the die-clashing, more personality is added with superb golden surfaces and wonderful details that are often seen on higher grade examples.
