The Indian Head quarter eagle, with the recessed design, was under scrutiny by the public and collectors alike, either because of fear of germs or general dislike of the design. Whatever the reasons, this coin resulted in a lack of “collector quality” examples. A beautiful coin displaying lovely orange-gold toning with minimal marks seen on both sides.
