1909 Barber Quarter PCGS PR67CAM

Gorgeous deep reflective fields are seen on this “black and white” cameo, Barber example. Charles Barber’s design was used on Dimes, Quarters and Half Dollars between 1892-1916 (The Half Dollar halted a year earlier in 1915). Barber made changes to the head of the Morgan Dollar, concealing the hair in a cap with a laurel wreath surrounding, and used that for the obverse. Although minor changes were made, the reverse is almost identical to Robert Scots 1804 Dollar, reverse.
