1917 Standing Liberty Quarter Type I PCGS MS67FH (CAC)

Thick mint frost exudes from the surfaces of this fantastic coin. A razor sharp strike, not only in the head area, but also around the shield that Ms. Liberty carries, is clearly visible on both sides. Perfect for the collector of first year type, as the 1916, while available at times, is usually beyond the means of the average collector, and at this level, be prepared to spend between $150,000 to $200,000 range. 1917 was the first year of issue of the redesigned Standing Liberty quarter. The first year was 1916, but the design originally showed Ms. Liberty with an exposed breast. As expected the public wanted this changed.
